In line with Pakistan striving to attain nationwide digitalisation, Bank Alfalah has launched Worklee, Pakistan’s first app dedicated to hiring and remote working.
Transforming the country’s employment landscape, Worklee is reportedly a part of the bank’s efforts to go fully digital, as reported by ProPakistani.
Worklee is particularly designed to support women seeking remote roles, persons with disabilities (PwDs), and freelancers, as these are the people often excluded from traditional workspaces.
Bank Alfalah Chief Human Resources Officer Faisal Farooq Khan said the goal of launching Worklee is to offer flexible work opportunities. “Alfalah Worklee is a step towards breaking barriers, offering individuals the flexibility to work remotely and achieve financial independence,” he stated.
The app lets users register, apply for roles within Bank Alfalah, and carry out their jobs remotely from anywhere.
The platform will initially focus on remote hiring for WhatsApp chat agent roles at the bank’s contact centre. In future, however, it is expected to cover more sophisticated fields such as programming.
The move follows the State Bank of Pakistan’s Banking on Equality framework, while underscoring Bank Alfalah’s commitment to equipping employees with digital solutions.
It's worth mentioning that Worklee is available on both Android and iOS, requiring users to simply register, get training, and go through the assessment process to adopt simplified hiring process.
