Apple Music has introduced a new feature that enables users to move their playlists and songs from other music services, such as Spotify and Tidal, to Apple Music.

Several countries, including the US, UK, and Canada, now offer this SongShift-powered feature.

How does Apple's SongShift feature work?

The Music App settings contain the transfer option, and users must allow SongShift access to their music collection.

After that, Apple Music will make an effort to match the transferred songs with its own collection, though some may not match precisely.

Families that use a variety of music services will find this feature helpful. This feature makes it easier for them to share playlists.

A CNET writer, Aaron Pruner, believes it might help with some of his issues since he and his wife use Apple Music and Spotify.

Additionally, the feature might facilitate users' transition from Spotify to Apple Music.

Because of worries about Spotify's CEO's AI investments, some artists are quitting the service.

Users can test out Apple Music and see if it has the songs they want with Apple's transfer feature. However, how well their musical selections mesh with Apple's library will determine the outcome.

Prior to discontinuing other music services, it is recommended to test the feature. Although some users have complained about the feature, it might be a good choice for people who want to switch.

Apple Music is making it simpler for users to import their music library into the platform with this new feature.
