BYD has introduced the Han L EV, a high-performance electric sedan with impressive speed and range. The car comes in two versions, one is a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) model with 670 HP and the other one is an all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant producing 1,086 HP.
The AWD versions can compete with the Tesla Model S Plaid and Lucid Air Sapphire.
BYD Han L EV specifications
Both versions are powered by an 83.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. The RWD model offers a CLTC-rated range of 701 km, while the AWD version delivers 601 km.
The Han L also enables dual-gun DC fast charging, which can fully charge the battery from 16% to 100% in 24 minutes, even in sub-zero temperatures of up to -30°C.
Apart from the electric variants, BYD is also introducing plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions. The DM-i variant combines a 1.5-litre turbo engine with a 269 HP electric motor, offering an electric-only range of 170 km CLTC. The DM-p version comes with an extra 269 HP motor, cutting the electric range to 145 km CLTC.
Moreover, the Han L EV has a stylish appearance with BYD's "Loong Face" look, Dragon Mustache-inspired front grille, and phoenix wing taillights. It is 5,050 mm long, with a large interior comprising luxury components such as a refrigerator, fragrance system, wireless charging, and Dynaudio speakers.
