The Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2024 has become the stage for renowned automakers — MG, Kia, Hyundai, and Changan — to showcase their latest electric and hybrid vehicles, offering advanced features, sustainable tech, and unique designs.

BYD Seal and Atto3 launched

Leading the launch, BYD introduced Seal, a D-segment sedan poised to compete with the Tesla Model 3. The Seal’s “Ocean aesthetics” design features U-shaped headlamps, an X-shaped grille, and “scales” on the C-pillar for a marine-inspired look.

Inside, Alcantara and leather touches, Apple CarPlay, and a Swarovski-style gear lever emphasise luxury. Its 82.5 kWh battery enables up to 570 km per charge, with rapid charging to 80% in 37 minutes.

Notably, Seal comes in two trims including BYD Seal Dynamic which can be bought for Rs14.79 million, and the BYD Seal Premium which is listed at Rs16.99m.

BYD’s Atto3, a fully electric C-category SUV, competes with models like the Hyundai Tucson. It boasts bi-projector LED headlamps, SS styling, radar, and a 360-degree camera. Its futuristic interior has a rotating screen, a wireless charger, and bucket seats. It is priced at Rs8.99m, the Atto3 provides a strong SUV alternative.
