BYD set to launch new cars in Pakistan: Models revealed

Sealion 7 is designed to rival popular crossovers like Tesla Model Y, as it covers 0-100 km/h as fast as 4.5 seconds

BYD is reportedly gearing up to launch two new vehicles in Pakistani market, with advanvced features to compete with rival companies like Tesla, BMW. 

According to PakWheels report, BYD will launch two vehicles in its lineup, which include:

  • BYD Atto 2. 
  • BYD Sealion 7.

BYD Atto 2 launch in Pakistan

The BYD Atto 2 is a sub-compact all-electric SUV, as it sits below the popular Atto 3 in terms of both size and price. It is designed to be an entry-level EV SUV option.

"Built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0, which is dedicated to electric vehicles for better space and efficiency," said BYD.

It comes with Blade Battery technology (LFP) in two main sizes:

  • 32 kWh (approx. 301 km range CLTC)
  • 45.1 kWh (approx. 401 km range CLTC)

The Atto 2 supports DC fast charging (30% to 80% in ~28 mins).

BYD Sealion 7 launch in Pakistan

The second edition of Sealion 7 is set to debut on the roads of Pakistan, as it is a midsize electric SUV that is positioned above the Atto 3 in the lineup. Internationally, it uses BYD’s advanced e-Platform 3.0 Evo, which features an 800V architecture for faster charging and improved efficiency. 

The Sealion 7 supports ultra-fast DC charging up to 230 kW (10% to 80% in ~24 mins). It covers 0-100 km/h as fast as 4.5 seconds for the performance AWD version.

BYD has yet to officially reveal pricing and specific variants for the launch in Pakistani automotive market.
