Pakistan's automobile industry is heading for a cleaner, greener future. Excitingly, Chinese car brand Chery announced its return, partnering with The Master Group to return to the Pakistani market.
Chery has previously trialled the Pakistani market, producing smart cars and stylish cars before, but is returning this time around with a strong return plan and commitment to sustainability, operationalising better customer service and quality controls, and building local production capacity to offer cleaner technologies.
The Master Group-Chery partnership
The Master Group–Chery partnership also hopes to generate more local employment through their local assembly plant operations and more dealership networks across Pakistan to not only lessen Pakistan's dependence on imported vehicles but also allow ordinary people to own newer cars.
Industry experts see this partnership as a positive step toward transforming the automotive sector. With a rising interest in hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs).
Cleaner cars mean lower emissions, which supports the country’s goals to fight climate change and promote eco-friendly transport.
