
In what seems to be the commencement of the export of Pakistan's locally assembled vehicles, Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Ltd (HACPL) has exported for the first time completely buily-up units of Honda City 1.2L vehicles.
As per The News, the export was also the first-ever export of fully assembled Honda cars, marking a notable milestone towards contributing to the global automotive supply chain.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan praised the company’s scalable production capabilities and quality standards, underscoring its crucial role in speeding up Pakistan's local manufacturing and exports.
“This milestone underscores Pakistan’s growing potential as a competitive player in the global automotive market,” he said.
HACPL President Aamir H Shirazi acknowledged the significant strides the government has been making to provide automakers with a business-friendly environment.
While Honda’s Takafumi Koike assured of the company's dedication to innovation and globally acclaimed excellence, Khan stressed on the exploration of international export opportunities and expressed confidence in Pakistan’s potential to become a a regional hub for automotive production and exports.
