Google Calendar, a popular scheduling app developed by the tech giant Google, lets users to manage their events, appointments and tasks effectively. With its built-in interface and features, it has become an essential tool for many Android users.

The latest update to Google Calendar introduces "pane expansion," a feature that allows users to adjust the layout of the app to their liking. 

By holding and swiping to the right on the drag handle, users can expand the monthly calendar view to take up most of the screen.

This feature is supported by Activity Embedding in Android 15 and is also planned to be supported by the Material 3-Adaptive library. Developer guidance is available for those who want to implement the Pane extension in their apps. This feature allows for a more personalised UI experience, which is in line with Google's vision for Material You tablet apps.
