Pakistan's electric vehicle (EV) market is expanding rapidly, and the launch of the Dongfeng Box EV is another step in the right direction. This small electric hatchback, launched by Chawala Green Motors, provides a clean, quiet, and economical option for city driving.
Available in two versions, LUX 430 and Flagship 430, the Dongfeng Box EV offers new technology, decent mileage, and family and city commuter comfort. It's now officially on sale in Pakistan.
Dongfeng Box EV features
The Dongfeng Box EV is driven by a 42.3 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack. It has a range of 430 km on full charging. There is a 70 kW motor, which propels the vehicle to a speed of 140 km/h with a front-wheel drive (FWD) system. The vehicle has both AC and DC charging capability, it charges to 80% within 30 minutes from a fast charger.
Moreover, the EV is equipped with a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, along with an 8-inch infotainment display that comes with Bluetooth, wireless charging, and ambient illumination. The Flagship 430 version further includes Rest Mode, in addition to heated and ventilated driver's seats.
Additionally, the safety kit of the car consists of ABS, dual airbags, stability control, and hill-start assist. Flagship grade adds Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto Parking, and Lane Keep Assist.
Dongfeng Box EV price and availability in Pakistan
The Dongfeng Box EV price in Pakistan starts at Rs6,400,000 for the LUX 430 and Rs6,800,000 for the Flagship 430. Bookings start from Rs1,500,000. Cars with in-stock colors are available for same-day delivery, while others have a waiting time of 40–50 days.
