Eclipses of 2025: Pakistan to witness lunar eclipse in September

Awaiting for thrilling celestial events in 2025? So is the world, bracing for four eclipses including two lunar and two solar eclipses.

It is worth mentioning that those residing in Pakistan will witness only one eclipse during this period, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Total lunar eclipse on March 14, 2025

The first total lunar eclipse also known as “Blood Moon” will alter skies on March 14, 2025. Notably, this is likely to be the first total lunar eclipse since November 2022.

The total lunar eclipse will be visible in Australia, Africa, North America, South America, the Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic, Antarctica, and Europe.

Partial solar eclipse on March 29, 2025

The first partial solar eclipse will occur on March 29, 2025. The eclipse will be visible in Europe, North Asia, North and West Africa, North America, North America, South America, Atlantic, and Arctic regions.

Second total lunar eclipse to be visible in Pakistan

The only eclipse that will be visible in Pakistan is “Blood Moon” which will also be the second lunar eclipse of 2025.

The eclipse will begin at 08:28pm PST on September 7 and will complete at 01:55am on September 8.

Partial solar eclipse on September 21, 2025

The second partial solar eclipse which will also be the last eclipse of the year 2025 is likely to take place on September 21. The eclipse will be visible from South Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific, the Atlantic, and Antarctica.
