
Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the game changer “Cybercab” Robotaxi along with the two gull-wing doors without steering wheel and pedals, along with an inductive system instead of a plug at a highly anticipated event at Hollywood studios on Thursday.
Musk estimated that the production of Cybercab, which is all set to begin in 2026 and the flagship electric vehicle (EV) will cost lower than $30,000, and the company will charge approx 20 cents a mile to easily operate.
"The vast majority of the time, cars are just doing nothing, but if they’re autonomous, they could be used five times more, maybe 10 times more," Musk stated.

Revealing his plans for the recently announced vehicle, he said that users would be able to hail the Cybercab Robotaxi through an app, providing a great chance of earning to individual Tesla owners by listing their cars as robotaxis.
“We’ll move from supervised Full Self-Driving to unsupervised Full Self-Driving. where you can fall asleep and wake up at your destination,” he said. “It’s going to be a glorious future,” Musk added.
Musk further lifted a veil off of the cheaper variants of Tesla’s latest EVs as updates on its impressive humanoid robot Optimus at the event.
