Facebook has announced an update, which introduces redesigned user interface (UI) elements across the platform, allowing users to see a refreshed version of the search, navigation, feed, and content creation tools interface.

The Meta-owned social media platform said that it will display search results in a grid layout. Similarly, while posting multiple photos, the same would be shown in a grid for better viewing.

What's in Facebook update?

Meta said that it is bringing various new updates to its app, including a redesigned feed, search, and navigation elements, along with an updated discovery algorithm.

Facebook will now arrange images in a grid layout when a user wishes to post multiple photos. The latest update allow users to double-tap to like photos in Feed, along with the ability to view content in full screen when they click on it.

Similar to a recent Instagram update, Facebook will soon update its app to display various sections, including Home, Reels, Friends, Marketplace, Notifications, and Profile, at the bottom of the screen.

If you update your interests to include sourdough bread baking or updates to display that you are travelling to a particular city, then Facebook will begin suggesting friends who will also have similar interests. Users will have the controls to choose what interests are displayed on their profiles.

Facebook is updating the content creation tools to place the 'most popular ones', like adding music and tagging friends, in a 'more intuitive' location.
