As far as adaptations and simulations are concerned, novels are a considerable source of inspiration for movies and comic series.

But in a bizarre development in the realm of the gaming industry, Black Sun Productions has built upon the renowned Franz Kafka novel Metamorphosis-inspired simulation, bringing it to the Meta Quest.

Named Metamorphosis VR, the spatial variant of the popular title's centre is narrative is to play from a first-person bug perspective, striking the existing game in a manner that it seems it was exclusively built for VR.

Mirroring its PC version, not only did it emulate the entire game into the VR mold but also introduced two DLC levels, while inflicting slight tweaking to smoothen the overall flow of the same.

Besides dictating the novel's exact plot, the developers have also sprinkled an artistic flair to the, as it lets players turn into a cockroaches and explore a house from an insectile perspective.

In the home, a set of chairs is considered a string of platforms and a gramophone as a dance club for bugs. It even features surrealist intervals to reflect on the tonality of the contents in visually inventive ways, like cramped rooms flooded with portraits in motion.
