In order to provide students of Sindh quality education, the Sindh Textbook Board has decided to distribute free tablets to students from grade 9 to intermediate across the province.

Sindh Textbook Board Chairman Abdul Aleem Lashari, during an event in Karachi, said that the tablets will help avoid delays and shortages in textbooks, with the first phase targeting senior students and the second phase for other grades.

It should be noted that the ultimate goal of Sindh Textbook Board is to transition to a paperless education system to adapt to modern demands.

The plan is pending final approval from the Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. Currently, the distribution of free textbooks for this year is almost completed, with around 27.5 million textbooks being distributed across 30 districts.

The first phase of book distribution began on July 30, with the second phase scheduled to start on August 15.
