In what seems to be its bid to secure a considerable share from Apple's iPhone 17 series launch in September 2025, Samsung is gearing up to launch its next Fan Edition phone, the Galaxy S25 FE.
According to a recent leak, the device may arrive earlier than last year's model, potentially debuting in South Korea on September 19.
The Galaxy S24 FE was released globally in September last year, but South Korea received it later in November.
If Samsung follows a similar pattern, the Galaxy S25 FE could launch in global markets even before its home country. While there is no official confirmation from Samsung yet, the company has hinted at an early launch during a recent earnings call.
This change in schedule might be part of a larger strategy. Samsung is also expected to unveil its Tri-Fold phone in the second half of 2025, so an early S25 FE launch could provide the company with ample time to focus on that, PhoneWorld reported.
The Galaxy S25 FE is likely to retain many features from the S24 FE, including a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, 8GB of RAM, and a 4,700mAh battery.
However, notable upgrades include faster 45W wired charging, support for Qi2 wireless charging, a 12MP selfie camera, and enhanced chrome detailing for a premium appearance.
The 512GB storage variant may be removed, which could disappoint some users. Regarding the processor, Samsung might use the Exynos 2400 or Exynos 2400e, with a possible switch to MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 if production issues arise.
While the Galaxy S25 FE doesn’t introduce major changes, the faster charging and new camera could make it appealing. With the expected launch date approaching, fans may not have to wait long.
