
Google has integrated progressively sophisticated protections against those who are at the edge of sacrificing their Gmail accounts, and currently, the total number of accounts is 2.5 billion, according to Google but hackers are also utilising artificial intelligence (AI)-centric techniques to attack and no wonder, that the entire Gmail community of 2.5 billion users might be the target of hackers.
The news regarding the issue came to light after a Microsoft solutions consultant Sam Mitrovic reported a complaint and warned other users after falling victim to it calling it a “super realistic AI scam call.”

Measures that you must take to stay safe from Gmail hackers
If you are ever approached someone through a suspicious email, then ask the supposed support guy to share a confirmation email and once it arrives, you will have an idea if it’s a scam or not, as you will notice a cleverly disguised address that wouldn’t match to ALphabet-owned Google's domain.
Moreover, avoid clicking a link or giving up credentials.
Google announces Global Signal Exchange to combat scammers
The American tech giant recently announced its partnership with the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GSM) and the DNS Research Federation to combat these hackers.
The Global Signal Exchange diligently monitors an intelligence-sharing platform regarding scams and fraud, offering real-time insights into the cybercrime supply chain.
Trust and safety Google’s Senior Director stated that the partnership “leverages the strengths of each partner.”
Moreover, “GSE aims to improve the exchange of abuse signals, enabling faster identification and disruption of fraudulent activities across various sectors, platforms and services.
