As promised by the search engine giant a week ago, the new sign-in page of Google Account has started rolling out to smartphone, tablets and computers.

Google says the “new sign-in page has a better layout for all screen types, which includes large and wide screens.” Moreover, this redesign of the sign in page complies with Material 3, giving a less messy feel because of spacious space to accommodate additional options.

The desktop layout features a two-column design, with the Google ‘G’ logo positioned on the left. On the right side, there are text fields for "Email or phone" and "Enter your password", along with a blue "Next" button in a pill-shaped container at the bottom-right corner.

The layout is surrounded by a rounded rectangular box with a white background. Additionally, there is a language switcher and links to Help, Privacy, and Terms located outside the box.

This sign-in page is designed to be responsive, adjusting its layout based on the window size or the device being used. At certain widths, the outer container with a light blue/gray background disappears. Meanwhile, on mobile devices, the layout changes to a single column design. Most signifacant change is that some elements are left-aligned in the mobile layout, not in the centre.

The previous page's banner guided users towards the revamp. However, this redesign features a different message that takes users to a new Google Support document.

Google highlights that this is primarily a visual change and reassures users that the "steps to sign in haven't changed."According to Google, if you are using an older version of a browser, you will still see the old sign-in page. The redesign is not yet widely available and will be fully rolled out over the next few weeks.
