Google Home widget system rolling out to let users control smart gadgets remotely

We've been witnessing a revolution in this highly modernised era where tech giants are full of zest and zeal to reach the pinnacle of automation, particularly to turn a handheld smartphone into a controller of smart homes.

An exemplary feat in this domain is on the horizon as Google Home app appears devoted to let users control their smart homes with a new feature.

The Google Home app has been spotted with a new widget system in its latest update, rolling out as as version 3.18.1.4.

Although the freshly discovered widgets are not usable at the moment, they are sufficiently providing us a sneak peek into their user interface and functionality, and the extent to which they can be tailoured to fit as per a user's needs.

According to Google News, not only will these widgets allow users to control devices from far away, but they will also offer the ability to control actions and automations from the home screen.

Shedding light on how the widgets can be operated, the report mentioned that when users would add a widget to the home screen, they will be prompted to choose the Google account associated with Home, only then they'll be able to add and remove devices they wish to control remotely.
