Google Messages has broadly launched a redesign of the voice recorder. However, not all the users are fortunate to have received the noise cancellation feature.
After releasing the new pane UI and clicking Record, a “noise cancellation ON/OFF” pill displays at the bottom of the waveform window.
Whereas there’s the option to turn off the current recording, the users noted that noise cancellation automatically turns back on for the user’s next session. Moreover, it is allowed by default when the users are using the long-press shortcut or activation procedure.

Previously, not all Google Messages users received the voice-revolved design and the new noise cancellation power. Recently, more people have been seeing it, particularly after today’s beta (version 20240523_04_RC00). It is displayed on all the phones.
In addition, this is the case on the stable channel. With this upgrade, Google said it “improved the overall audio quality of voice messages by increasing the bitrate and sampling rate.” Testing on other features, not all users are optical to Voice Moods just yet.
