Google Messages is set to offer a new feature, face filters globally to enhance user experience. You can release the full-screen camera from the app bar on the home screen or inside a conversation.
How does face filter feature work?
There’s a new button to the left of the shutter that opens to the front-facing camera, while the filters also work on the rear lens.
You can click an image or record a video (long-press on the shutter or switch to the tab) with filters. There are nine options, including one that removes wrinkles from under your eyes, adds glasses, and hats, and turns you into a bunny or dinosaur.

Almost all these filters are already displayed in Google Meet, so it was a straight port. This joins the Selfie GIFs ability released in recent months.
Face filters deserve a more dedicated user interface than long-pressing the camera/gallery icon in a conversation. There are also inline suggestion chips for it. Whereas, face filters in Google Messages are not yet globally launched.
