Google Password Manager has introduced a new feature that allows users to share passwords with family members securely. This new upgrade aims to provide an enhanced way to secure and conveniently share of passwords within the family groups, improving the overall user experience of Google Password Manager.
This feature is designed to make it easier for families to access passwords and accounts without sharing sensitive information.
How it works?
When a user shares a password with a family member, the family member will receive a copy of the password in their Google Password Manager account.
This password can then be used to access the shared account. This feature is limited to accounts that are part of a family group, making it a more secure option than normal password sharing.
Google has highlighted a few examples of how this feature can be useful, such as giving a child's parents access to school assignments or integrating daycare through an account. The feature is currently rolling out to mobile devices with Google Play Services v24.20, but it's not yet available on the desktop version of Chrome.
In addition to the family password-sharing feature, Google Password Manager is also rolling out a content redesign for you, which will give the app a new look.
