Google announced that Ads in AI Overviews will roll out in Pakistan and other APAC markets later this year. With this update, businesses will be able to advertise directly in AI-generated overviews in Google Search, allowing them to meet users in more intelligent and timely ways.

AI Overviews is a new feature that presents users with helpful overviews in Search using artificial intelligence. It has increased engagement for over 1.5 billion users globally, and advertisers are now starting to embrace it.

With the push to share ads in AI overviews, this will give businesses some of the highest visibility search moments to get in front of users more easily in Pakistan.

Ultimately, the intention is to shorten the journey from discovery to decision by allowing users to meet businesses that can serve their needs based on what they are searching for.

According to Google, there will be ads that gradient the user's query and the AI-generated response, leading brands to matchmaking at the right moment in a user's journey.

In a developing digital landscape in Pakistan, this feature can open the door to access no previous ad inventory for high-intent search queries that will only continue to grow.

With AI's ability to understand user intent and what they are looking for, brands will have far greater opportunities to appear in high-intent user journeys.

Google is also rolling out tools like Asset Studio, AI Max for Search, and agentic capabilities to support marketers in designing smarter campaigns. These tools help automate content creation, expand reach, and generate insights using Google’s advanced Gemini AI models.
