Google Chat has received a few significant updates with real-time Markdown formatting and more Gemini summaries.

Google Chat has been supporting Markdown and graphical formatting options. The former is now updated with real-time formatting rather than only converting after sending a message. Once you have completed a section, it will be formatted, with that menu automatically spotting.

In addition, the messaging app is adding code formatting and code blocks in the compose bar, which is now available for all users.

It's worth mentioning that enterprise users can now access the documents and presentation uploading in Gemini. Users can easily analyse and summarise the following file formats.

  • Document files: DOC, DOCX, PDF, RTF, DOT, DOTX, HWP, HWPX
  • Documents created in Google Docs
  • Plain text files: TXT
  • Presentation files: PPTX
  • Presentations created with Google Slides

Here are a few latest updates of Google Vids:

It lets users add looping animations to stickers, text, and other shapes in their videos. Looping animations constantly play between enter and exit animations, enabling users to add additional emphasis or style to callouts, and other elements in their videos.

There are the latest artificial intelligence (AI) voiceover options that “offer more natural and expressive voiceovers that dynamically adjust pitch and tone to match your script.”

  • Narrator (Default) – Smooth, medium pitch
  • Educator – Friendly, higher pitch
  • Teacher – Clear, low pitch
  • Persuader – Engaging, low pitch
  • Explainer – Lively, low pitch
  • Coach – Lively, higher pitch
  • Motivator – Energetic, medium pitch
