Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, Dr Athar Waheed, has released that will transform the city’s traffic enforcement system by improving e-challan recovery and expediting vehicle verification processes.

With the new app, the officers can easily view complete vehicle data and any outstanding e-challans simply by taking a photo of the vehicle. It is linked to the existing Wardens App.

Previously, this functionality was only available through LT wireless sets. Under the older system, wardens had to stop vehicles and manually input the vehicle number, chassis number, or ID card details.

With the new photo-based feature, recovery is likely to improve and more vehicles can be checked in less time.

Dr Waheed stated that daily recovery has increased from Rs500,000 to Rs5 million within a month.

Of the Rs. 9.4 million in outstanding dues from government vehicles, Rs3.5 million was recovered in just one month.

Specialised recovery teams have been deployed to tackle the staggering Rs. 6 billion in pending challans citywide.

With the new system’s speed and accuracy, officials are optimistic that a major portion of these dues will be recovered soon.

With this new app, the Lahore Traffic Police not only promises better enforcement but also streamlines checks, reduces delays, and supports safer road habits across the city.
