HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0.0.123 public beta now available for Huawei MatePad Pro 11/13.2

Huawei has begun releasing the HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0.0.123 public beta update for MatePad Pro 11 and 13.2 users. After the flagship smartphones, the company is rolling out the latest software testing build for compatible MatePad tablets.

The new HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0.0.123 public beta update for the Huawei MatePad tablets is integrating various new features. It improves the Celia artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, lock screen, Huawei Share, and the Calendar application of the device.

Although the main feature of the show is the Split-Screen dialogue feature. This add-on will allow users to open the split-screen mode via one command. Moreover, you can ask for report summaries, answers to different questions, and more using this feature.

On the flip side, the lock screen is getting new features like support for song recognition.

Theme

• New preset fortune/travel blue official free theme.

System

• Supports transferring files and pictures via USB to PC.
• Added a new manual cleanup feature for the app cache. Settings > Storage, you can clean up the cache.
• A new e-book mode has been included to the control centre, letting you immerse yourself in reading e-books with one click.

Celia

• When reading long articles, long-press the Celia navigation bar at the bottom of the screen and select the “Split Screen Dialogue” service to quickly split the screen, provide instant summaries, questions, and answers, and improve reading comprehension efficiency.

Huawei Share

• Huawei Share Supports sharing dynamic photos.

Lock screen

• The lock screen now supports conversation translation, scanning, song recognition, and Bluetooth earbuds widgets for a richer experience. (long-press the clock on the lock screen > click the circle > select the widget to add)
• The theme feature of the lock screen editing interface adds custom themes, more themes, and more fun.

Calendar

• New schedules support adding location information via location or map.
• Long press the important date widget in the calendar interface to easily add it to the home screen.
• Support sliding down the month view interface to display the full month schedule.

Smart Life

• Supports the management of the Huawei Printer X1 series and Huawei Mobile Router Series.

Email

• Support Petal email log-in.
