If the user unintentionally enabled this feature while setting up new AirPods or upgrading to iOS 15 and wants to turn it off, below is a step-by-step guide provided on how to turn off the notifications on AirPods.

The user can turn off notifications on AirPods using their iPhone or iPad, and even though the option is hidden within the Settings menu, the user can access it through simple steps.

Steps to turn off notifications on Airpods

  • Select Notifications after opening Settings.
  • Change the feature off after clicking on Announce notifications.

For user convenience in enabling or disabling the feature, a simple addition of a tile to the Control Center suffices. By this user can quickly turn it on or off without going through the Settings menu. A user should follow these instructions to add a tile.

  • Open Settings and select Control Center.
  • Navigate down to More Controls and tap on Announce Notifications.
  • Click on the green plus sign button to add it.
  • Once added, the tile will appear under the Included Controls section in the Control Centre. Scroll down to access the Control Center, and the user will find the tile there. Tap on it to enable or disable the feature as needed.
