Apple has upgraded its Sensitive Content Warning feature for FaceTime video calls in the recently introduced iOS 26 to provide iPhone users with an advanced safety.
When the feature is enabled, Sensitive Content Warning helps you avoid receiving unwanted nude photos or videos on your iPhone.
Earlier, Sensitive Content Warning only worked in Contacts, Messages, AirDrop, and shared photo albums on iPhone. It uses on-device machine learning to identify images and videos.
If Sensitive Content Warning detects nudity during a FaceTime call, the app pauses both audio and video, showing you a warning message and a suggestion to end the call if you're not okay with it.
It should be noted that the warning only displays the first time nudity is detected during a call, but if you tap to continue, you won't receive further warnings during the video call.
How to enable Sensitive Content Warning
- On your iPhone, go to 'Settings', tap 'Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down and select 'Sensitive Content Warning'.
- Turn on 'Sensitive Content Warning' at the top.
Once you have enabled the feature, it supports all apps, but Apple allows you to select specific apps to be accessed. When you turn on Sensitive Content Warning on your iPhone, it's also turned on for your paired Apple Watch.
