Apple brought the Low Power Mode to the iPhone with the launch of the iOS9, enabling users to conserve battery life by reducing power usage. This feature proved beneficial in extending the time between charges. However, a common concern among iPhone owners has been the automatic disabling of Low Power Mode once the device reaches an 80% charge.

To permanently enable Low Power Mode, a user can leverage the Automation feature in the Shortcuts app.

By creating automation in the Shortcuts app, users can make sure that their iPhone automatically activates Low Power Mode whenever it is switched off. Therefore, Low Power Mode will always be on unless the user disables the automation and cannot be manually deactivated.

Steps to prevent automatic disability of Low Power Mode in iPhone

  1. Start by opening the Shortcuts app on the device.
  2. Click the Automation menu.
  3. In the top right corner tap the “+” icon.
  4. Choose "Create Personal Automation."
  5. Navigate down to find the "Low Power Mode" option.
  6. Select "Is Turned Off."
  7. Tap "Next."
  8. Search for the "Set Low Power Mode" script and make sure that the "Turn" and "On" options are selected.
