Android Auto brings convenience to your car's navigation screen with its familiar interface and innovative apps. However, like other operating systems, it can get cluttered with apps you don't need.

Removing apps from Android Auto
You can clean up Android Auto without needing an active connection to your car. This method allows you to remove apps and customise their order beforehand.
Access Android Auto settings
- For Samsung handsets: Go to Settings > Connected devices > Android Auto.
- For Pixel devices: Go to Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Android Auto.
- If unsure, open your phone settings, tap the search icon, and look up Android Auto.
Customise your launcher
- Tap Customise launcher under General.
- To remove an app, clear the checkbox next to its name or tap the red cross.
- To change the order of apps, press and hold the handle on the left of the app's icon and drag it to your desired position.

- Tap the Add shortcut to the launcher at the top of the screen.
- To add a shortcut to a contact, tap Call a contact and choose the person from the list.
- To add an Assistant shortcut, tap the An Assistant action, enter the command, and tap Save.

- Connect your phone to your vehicle's infotainment system using a USB cable or wirelessly.
- On the Android Auto launcher screen, press and hold any icon to open the launcher customisation page on your phone, or tap the Customise icon on the home screen.
