In a bid to recapture the spacious chunk of consumers it lost from the top-tier smartphone market, HTC has launched its HTC U24 Pro.

This sudden step in into the spotlight indicates at the adamant attitude of HTC to once stand among market leaders.

Equipped with one of the most integrated and high-in-demand chipsets, the HTC U24 Pro is a middle-tier Android smartphone listed at a bit costly price tag.

HTC U24 Pro specifications

The dark side of the story is that the HTC U24 Pro is so far confined to the European Union (EU) as a base variant offering 12 GB RAM and 256 GB variant, with a possibility of its potential, and global rollout soon. However, the company has not revealed in this regard.

Bearing resemblance to its predecessors, the HTC U24 Pro comes with a durable build based on a metal frame and glass sandwich design. What adds to its already rigid construction is its IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.

The front-facing side of the handset features a large 6.8-inch curved OLED complemented by a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor, protected by unspecified Corning Gorilla Glass.

Making it a powerhouse of performance is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and Android 14 under the hood, on the sidelines of its built-in 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, with the latter offering a margin of expansion.

To let users keep going all day long without frequent refilling trips, the device is backed by a 4,600 mAh battery as well as wired and wireless support for 60W charging and 15W charging, respectively. But don't miss out on up to 5W reverse wireless charging.

Coming to its photographic capability, HTC seems to be well considerate of pixilation, as it features a triple rear camera at back end of the phone, which includes a 50 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 50 MP 2x telephoto lens. Whereas, the front side of the smartphone brags more with a 50MP camera which is something sparsely found, even talked about, on mid-tier smartphone.

HTC U24 Pro price

Since it hasn't been rolled out beyond EU, figuring its cost out could be senseless on the basis of its price in EU as the manufacturer might make it available for a bit different price.

But, as as the HTC U24 Pro comes for €564 in EU, it may hit the shores of other regions at an equivalent price. For instance, it may launch for INR 50,915 in India.
