Hubco Green’s first EV charging station launched in Karachi

Hubco plans to establish advanced and reliable EV charging stations at motorways and highways

In a significant milestone, Hubco Green (Private) Limited (HGL), the subsidiary of Hub Power Holdings Limited (HPHL), on Tuesday installed its first-ever electric vehicle (EV) charging station at Karachi’s Ocean Mall. 

With the aim to become Pakistan’s largest EV charging network, HGL plans to establish advanced and reliable EV charging stations across the country. 

This includes motorways, highways, major cities, and destination charging avenues at upscale malls and commercial areas.

The launch of Hubco Green's EV charging station is part of Pakistan's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and fossil fuel reliance. 

This initiative further accelerates the growth of the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) segment in Pakistan 

At the inauguration ceremony, Hubco Green CEO Kamran Kamal, stated, "This milestone marks the beginning of our vision to transform the mobility landscape of Pakistan. We aim to create an enabling ecosystem that is environmentally friendly and economically sustainable."

Meanwhile, Vice President Projects at HUBCO Masood Zafar, noted, "As a company committed to innovation and sustainability, we recognise the importance of creating solutions that leave a lasting impact. This launch is a leap towards a more sustainable future for Pakistan."

With growing private sector interest and government-backed incentives, Pakistan is poised to become a hub for electric mobility.
