Instagram has officially announced a new update that will finally allow users to rearrange their grid, providing an enhanced usage experience.

Meta-owned social media platform revealed on Thursday, June 12, 202, that it is testing a way for users to quietly post to their profile without having the content appear in users’ feeds.

Moreover, the social network is also releasing the ability to stream songs from Spotify directly to your Instagram Notes, along with a new initiative to support emerging creators.

As per Instagram, the ability to rearrange grids has been one of its most highly requested features. With this update, users will be able to rearrange posts on their profiles to customise the appearance of their grid.

With this new update, the company aims to give users a way to make their grid layout more aesthetically pleasing or to highlight certain content above others.

In a blog post, Instagram Head Adam Mosseri stated: “Creative expression can feel intimidating, especially when posting something to feed,” which is why it’s introducing the new feature to make it simple for users to share content without having everybody’s eyes on it.

Mosseri says that the purpose of both new creative features is to give users “added flexibility over how and where your content shows up and helps you create and share without added pressure.”

According to an Instagram spokesperson, Drafts is not a dedicated creator fund, and Instagram will “collaborate closely with creators to provide them with the type of support that best suits the needs of each of their unique creative projects.”
