Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro Max have the same size batteries, however, recently, a renowned market analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo from TFI Securities, has reported that the iPhone 16 Pro Max may have more capacity in its battery.

Kuo further claimed that the battery will generate more heat because of its high density and that is why the battery will likely contain a stainless steel sheet around it. Leaked images showed that both the models will have this steel casing. Moreover, it can also be assumed that Apple will use this steel coverage for its iPhone 17 series as well.

The iPhone 16 series including iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to launch in September, this year. However, some rumours suggest that the Plus variant will be launched as iPhone 17 Slim, having the title of the most expensive phone in the series.

According to the analyst, the stainless steel sheet will help in thermal management as well as will make it easier to replace the battery. Additionally, it will act by the European Union’s requirement for mobile phones for replaceable batteries.

While it’s just an assumption, users have to wait for the launch of this series till the middle of September, however, it is more likely the correct information because Kuo is famous for its leads related to Apple which are mostly correct.
