Meta-owned instant messaging app, WhatsApp, is reportedly down for many users across the world — including Pakistan — as they are unable to access the popular instant messaging app on Tuesday evening.
According to the outage-tracking website, Downdetector.com, users are unable to log in to their accounts and send messages.
As per the platform, 64% of reports were made regarding the WhatsApp website, while 23% were about server connection issues, and 13% were about users not receiving messages on the app.
It should be noted that thousands of users globally, including those in Pakistan, have encountered problems with the platform and are reporting the issues online in desperation.
What to do if WhatsApp isn't functioning?
- Restart or update the app.
- Clear the cache of WhatsApp Web and try a different browser.
- Perform an internal speed test.
- Try changing your network or check you Wi-Fi connection.
- These step temporarily resolve the problem in approximately 40% of cases.
However, WhatsApp has yet to make any official statement regarding the exact resolution time of the instant messaging app.
