Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital operator, has accomplished a significant milestone by transitioning to a 4G-only mobile broadband network, becoming the first telecom operator in the country to completely discontinue 3G services.

This strategic move, which reallocates all spectrum resources to high-speed 4G, is an essential step in transforming Jazz into a ServiceCo, effectively utilising state-of-the-art technology to enhance lives across Pakistan.

Having reached a remarkable 50 million 4G customer base, Jazz's decision to optimise spectrum use will result in broader network coverage, improved service reliability, and faster internet speeds.

The leading digital operator has established industry standards for regulatory compliance with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) through the strategic reallocation of spectrum for 4G, strengthening Pakistan’s standing in the digital landscape.

Currently, Jazz handles over 15,000 4G sites throughout the country and is committed to expanding its network in underserved areas to bring high-speed internet access to more Pakistanis. The “4G for All” initiative will persist to drive connectivity, enabling access to pioneering digital services.

By transitioning its spectrum entirely to 4G nationwide, Jazz positions itself at the forefront of digital accessibility, promoting a digitally empowered society.
