Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Tourism Department has introduced a digital application designed for foreign visitors to apply for NOCs (No Objection Certificates) easily when visiting various scenic and sensitive sites in the province.

KP Tourism, Culture, Archaeology, and Museums Department Secretary Dr Abdul Samad remarked that the Online Foreign Tourist Registration Portal will allow tourists with valid visas to register and apply for permissions without issues.

He further stated that the same portal will eventually offer services for foreign trekkers and mountaineers as well.

The new NOC application online system for KP tourism allows visitors to upload passport copies, visa status, and travel plans online. This change helps reduce paperwork and time to process applications.

In addition, tourists can also easily track the status of their NOC applications. The new portal is available for download from the Google Play Store and the official KP Tourism website.

Dr. Samad explained the positive impact this will have on better coordination between the security of the region and tourism, while also promoting safe and sustainable tourism practices.

Foreign tourists visiting certain areas, such as the Upper Dir and Chitral or Swat regions, which specifically require permission due to security requirements, will have the benefit of a simplified process.

In addition to the NOC feature, the app will also include lists of verified travel guides, transport providers, and service firms to help foreign tourists plan with confidence.
