GPD, a Chinese laptop manufacturer, is developing gaming laptops and mini mobile laptops. However, the company is now changing its focus to regular-sized laptops.

After the company hinted about a dual-screen laptop last week on it official X (formerly known as Twitter) account, it has now officially uploaded a picture of its forthcoming GPD Duo.

Whereas users have looked at new dual-screen laptops that surfaced over the last year, the GPD Duo seems like it may be a useful gadget. GPD is accumulating the two 13.3-inch OLED panels so the users can receive an extra screen on top.

That is relatable to Asus’ new Zenbook Duo. However, GPD is targeting to do this without an undetachable keyboard and kickstand, so that the second display can fold back to the main one in what seems like a regular laptop form factor.

Moreover, the second display on the GPD Duo can fold down into a tablet form factor with a shore for stylus input.

Taking to X, GPD stated: “When folded, the device is the size of an A4 sheet of paper, and when both screens are fully extended, it measures 18 inches”. The screens boast 10-point touch, 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity for a stylus, and the Microsoft Pen Protocol for connection with the Surface Pen.

Whereas the company does not mention the ports on the Duo, it’s likely to have an Ethernet port at the backside, besides an OcuLink port for eGPU connectivity.

There are almost two USB ports on the side, which seems to be a form of card reader including the left-hand side of the laptop. There are multiple other ports shown in the picture, but considering exactly which ports are featured is challenging because of its low resolution.

The GPD Duo will house a full-size keyboard and regular trackpad, which will set it different from the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i featured with separate Bluetooth keyboard users placed on top of its second display.

The company is yet to confirm which processor will GPD Duo laptop will be powered with. There is an unclear discussion of a 35-watt TDP and this will be an “AI PC”.
