Meta has scheduled to perform a major maintenance starting at 1am on Thursday, continuing until 1pm on Friday (12 December 2025), affecting Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and other Meta services.

Users may experience slower performance, message delivery delays, and frequent disruptions during the maintenance, which is expected to result in service deterioration.

Leading internet service provider Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL) has used official communication to inform its clients about the maintenance.

Even if customers have steady internet connectivity, the company cautioned that access to Meta services may be impacted.

According to PTCL, the disruption is a component of Meta's planned technical work to enhance system performance and reliability.

Business operations may be impacted by the extended maintenance window, especially for companies that rely on Meta platforms for consumer involvement, marketing, and communication.
