MG Pakistan has officially announced the extension of its discounted “Advantage Price” offer on the MG HS PHEV until July 31, 2025, continuing a relief for buyers amid rising vehicle costs.
Initially offered at a special early-bird price of Rs9,499,000 till March 2025, the offer was later revised to Rs9,699,000, valid through June 2025.
Now, the company has decided to carry forward this special price for one more month.
According to MG officials, the government has not imposed the NEV (New Energy Vehicle) Adoption Levy on plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) such as the MG HS PHEV. In light of this, MG has chosen to extend the current pricing benefit to pass on the maximum possible relief to customers.
Moreover, MG Pakistan aims to support the government’s push toward cleaner, energy-efficient transport through the extension of its discounted offer on the MG HS PHEV.
MG said that the overwhelming customer response to the early bird pricing and the government’s decision to exempt PHEVs from the new levy were key reasons for maintaining the Rs9,699,000 price till the end of July.
It is worth noting that starting August 1, 2025, however, the price will increase to Rs9,899,000.
What is NEV Adoption Levy?
The NEV Adoption Levy is a new levy introduced in the 2025-26 budget, aimed at encouraging the transition to New Energy Vehicles, e.g., EV and PHEV. The levy ranges from 1% to 3% and is applied to petrol and diesel vehicles.
The goal is to make NEVs more attractive and push automakers and consumers toward environmentally friendly options.
