Get ready to ditch your traditional workspace. Meta Quest users are in for a groundbreaking shift as Microsoft Office steps into the virtual realm. Android Central's latest report heralds the arrival of fundamental Microsoft Office suite support on the Meta Quest lineup — be it the original Oculus Quest, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, or the cutting-edge Meta Quest 3.

Enthusiasts can now dive into the world of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, all available for free download from the Meta Quest store.

This futuristic integration stems from Meta's announcement during its Connect 2022 event, teasing the launch of Microsoft 365 app experiences exclusively tailored for their VR headsets. The partnership extends further, offering users access to Outlook, Teams, and a Windows environment, aiming to redefine productivity in the virtual landscape.

Accessing the Office suite on Meta Quest necessitates logging into a Microsoft account, while the cloud-based app files ensure swift downloads and seamless multitasking for avid users.

However, these applications aren't entirely optimised for the VR environment. Users might encounter challenges navigating tiny icons and other elements that might not seamlessly adapt to this immersive space. Typing on the Quest's onscreen keyboard might prove cumbersome, prompting users to opt for Bluetooth accessories to tackle serious tasks effectively.
