The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has officially announced on September 2, 2025, a temporary closure of its call centre services in Islamabad and Rawalpindi due to technical issues.
According to the official notification, NADRA’s helpline services, including the universal access number 051-111-786-100 and the mobile user line 1777, were inactive from 12:00am to 8:00am on September 3, 2025.
The authority has cited technical reasons for the disruption and confirmed that the issue is being addressed.
During the temporary suspension of services, citizens were urged to visit NADRA’s official website or reach out via the authority’s verified social media channels for assistance and updates.
On the other hand, citizens can easily use NADRA’s Pak-ID app for several services such as Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs), Child Registration Certificate (CRC), B-Form, and Family Registration Certificate (FRC).
In addition, the Pak-ID app offers helpful step-by-step guides and video tutorials to keep users well-informed throughout the process.
With the Pak-ID app, users can check the status of their applications digitally, which is designed to reduce on-site visits to NADRA centres.
As of 2012, NADRA had issued identity cards to over 89.5 million Pakistanis, with eligibility beginning at the age of 18.
