The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) to establish the largest mega centre in Gulberg Town, Karachi.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, Nadra said: "The mega centre will feature a fully air-conditioned environment with a central cooling system and a spacious waiting area for visitors. Dedicated counters for passport services, thalassaemia tests, arms licences and senior citizens will also be established."
The facility will operate 24 hours a day, six days a week, to ensure that citizens receive an improved experience and greater access to services.
"Zonal offices will be housed within the centre to serve residents of the Central District efficiently. The new mega centre will benefit citizens of Ayesha Manzil, Sakhi Hasan, North Nazimabad, New Karachi, FB Area and Liaquatabad, offering multiple public services under one roof," Nadra added.
Alongside, Nadra launched a new digital payment method to help citizens pay the fee, eliminating the need for cash transactions.
You can easily pay fees simply by scanning the Raast QR code. Nadra said: "Paying fees at Nadra offices is now easier than ever. Use the Raast QR code provided on your token slip to pay fees directly from your bank account or mobile wallet without any extra charges."
With the launch of new features, Nadra aims to digitalise its services and reduce the waiting time at the centres.
