In the latest update, WhatsApp has started to roll out a new feature allowing chat list filters to remain permanently visible, making it easier for users to navigate conversations.

This move is part of the messaging platform's ongoing efforts to elevate the overall experience by bringing strategic updates to the platform.

Available on the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.25.4.12 via Google Play Store, the update is currently being rolled out to beta testers who have downloaded the WhatsApp beta.

What’s new in WhatsApp’s latest update?

WhatsApp’s new feature keeps the chat filters pinned at the top of the chat list, eliminating the need for users to scroll through their conversations to access them.

This update enhances user convenience and improves the chat navigation process, making it particularly useful for those who rely on chat filters to manage their conversations efficiently.

For instance, users who categorise their chats into personal, work, and group conversations can instantly check for unread messages in a particular section.

Additionally, businesses and professionals who handle multiple chat threads will benefit from this update, as they can now prioritise responses more efficiently.

It should be noted that the update will be rolled out to more users over the coming weeks.

On the sidelines, WhatsApp’s feature, which filters to display favourite contacts, has been automatically moved to the top of the list.

This update enables users to mark specific contacts as favourites for quick access.
