The Nothing Phone (3) has launched the Android 16 beta program, allowing users to see Google's newest mobile OS and Nothing OS 4.0 versions early.
Notably, the rollout was announced on Friday and is currently a closed beta, meaning only select owners of the Phone (3) will have access for the time being.
Users interested in testing the Nothing Phone's new model with Android 16 can sign up through a five-step process on Nothing's official website; please note that the registration period ends Sunday.
After that, selected users will receive onboarding information via email after being selected for the beta program.
It is important to reiterate that the Android 16 beta not only grants users access to Google's latest features, but it will also offer users Nothing OS 4.0, which promises a "robust design system" as well as a more "cohesive UI" specifically for the Nothing Phone (3).
The complete changelog has not been released as of yet; however, users who are selected to try the Nothing Phone with Android 16 are expected to see some general UI changes, system improvements, and unique Nothing utilities that are built on top of the core Android update.
As with any new early beta release, there are expected bugs, glitches, and unfinished features of some kind or another. Nothing advised users that there are chances of no rollback options, so beta testers should review prior to proceeding.
This is the first wave of Android 16 rollout for the Nothing ecosystem, with a wider beta to follow.
