The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) on Tuesday announced that citizens living in Punjab can now register important life events in their respective Union Councils (UCs) and obtain all related certificates through the Pak-ID mobile app.

Through its Facebook post, the authority stated that registration of important life events, such as birth, death, marriage, and divorce, and the issuance of certificates — under the partnership of Nadra with the Local Government and Community Development Department (LGCD) — in UCs of Punjab will be possible through the Pak-ID mobile app.

It should be noted that the mobile app provides citizens with a convenient solution, allowing them to access ID-related services without visiting Nadra centres. This digital initiative is expected to streamline bureaucratic processes, reduce delays, and improve overall service delivery across Punjab.

It should be noted that the agreement was signed by LGCD Secretary Mian Shakeel Ahmed and NADRA Lahore Director General Fiza Shahid.

Meanwhile, if you're seeking ways to apply for a Family Registration Certificate (FRC), then the Nadra has made it easier for you to do so by using the Pak-ID mobile application. FRC shows the family composition of the applicant (by birth or by marriage) registered with Nadra. If a person is not registered in Nadra and does not hold a 13-digit ID number, his/her data will not be reflected in FRC.
