Pakistani passport among weakest in 2025: Henley Passport Index

The Henley Passport Index for the first half of 2025 has ranked Pakistan’s passport among the weakest in the world. This index evaluates passports based on visa-free access to other countries.

Pakistan is placed in the 103rd position, tied with Yemen. Pakistani passport holders can travel visa-free to only 33 countries. Countries with weaker passports than Pakistan include Iraq (104th), Syria (105th), and Afghanistan (106th).

On the other hand, Nepal, Palestine, and Bangladesh rank just above Pakistan, with Somalia in the (102nd) place. India holds the 85th spot in the region, China ranks 60th, Iran is 96th, and Saudi Arabia is 58th.

Moreover, at the top of the index, Singapore leads with visa-free access to 195 destinations. Japan follows with access to 193 destinations. South Korea, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Finland share third place, each with access to 192 destinations.
