With tensions between India and Pakistan on the rise once again, India has blocked more than 16 Pakistani YouTube channels owing to concerns of misinformation and provocative content.
The ban on a few specific renowned Pakistani YouTube channgels was enforced today on 27 April 2025, affecting a combined subscriber base of 63 million.
Citing Indian authorities, ProPakistani reported that the blocked channels were spreading false narratives about India, its army, and its security forces in the wake of the recent Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir, which took 26 lives.
