As Pakistan's tech sector is evidently evolving and growing at a substantial pace, the country's 26 major IT firms alongside 10 startups grabbed the spotlight at GITEX 2025, one of the world's popular technology exhibitions, which kicked off today in Dubai.
The well-established Pakistani tech companies brought to light the nation's software exports, artificial intelligence (AI), and cutting-edge technologies.
The Pakistan Pavilion, building on last year’s success, was organised by TechDestination in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).
While Pakistan secured the “TechDestination of the Year” award and business leads worth $10.5 million the previous year, this year’s participation is expected to further elevate the country's profile.
The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has expanded its presence, providing companies with greater global visibility and partnership opportunities.
Under the theme “Think Tech, Think Pakistan,” the pavilion positioned the country as a strategic hub for innovation, collaboration, and investment within the global digital economy.
Exhibitors gained the opportunity to enhance branding, targeted promotional support, and access to networking areas, including the Connexons Lounge for B2B meetings.
State Minister for IT and Telecom led the delegation at GITEX 2025, scheduled to deliver a keynote on “Pakistan’s AI & Connectivity Drive: A Model for Emerging Economies,” highlighting advancements in AI and digital connectivity.
The minister will also engage in high-level discussions with international officials to foster cooperation in AI, cybersecurity, and digital governance, including a significant MoU signing with Kaspersky.
