Palworld update: New features and monetised cosmetics sparked controversy

Palworld, a popular multiplayer online game, is action-adventure gameplay in which the players have to capture and train creatures known as "Pals" and use them to battle against the other players. Due to its unique gameplay and cute graphics, it has gained a large population of players.

What’s updated?

The latest update of Palword is the Sakurajima, which is an epic journey in a whole new region with unique pals. The update brings a lot of new features to the game, including new islands to explore, new Pals to capture and train, and new buildings and crafting stations.

The will increase the level cap so that the players are able to grow even stronger. Additionally, the update introduces a new raid, stronghold, and PvP arena mode.

The update also encompasses monetised cosmetics, the reception of which, in general, is polarising to fans. Some are pretty hyped for their newfound ability to add more customisation, while others are fearful of further opening their wallet pocket for microtransactions. Pocketpair, the developer has not confirmed whether these skins will be buyable or free.

Despite the controversy, the update brings a lot of new content and features to Palworld. The new islands designed beautifully, reflect Japan's historic architecture with the beautiful cherry blossom view.

The new Pals are also unique and interesting, including a mimic chest that appears to be a harmless puppy but is deadly. New buildings and crafting stations provide more options for players when crafting and building.
