The federal government has officially announced the Prime Minister’s electric bike and rickshaw scheme 2025 under the Pakistan Accelerated Vehicle Electrification (PAVE) scheme to promote eco-friendly transport options in Pakistan.

With this initiative, the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif-led government provides interest-free loans with government subsidies, enabling students, daily wage earners, delivery riders, and small business owners to purchase electric bikes, rickshaws, and loaders with easy monthly instalments.

Key details of PAVE Scheme 2025

  • Registration period: Applications are being accepted until September 30, 2025.
  • E-balloting date: If applications exceed the allocated quota, a transparent computerised lucky draw will be held on October 1, 2025.
  • Up to Rs50,000 for bikes and up to Rs200,000 for rickshaws are being allocated.

Instalment details

  • Zero-interest (interest-free) monthly instalments that are repayable over a flexible period of 2 to 3 years

Eligibility criteria of PAVE Scheme 2025

  • Pakistani citizen with a valid Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC)
  • Age: 18–65 years for electric bikes and 21–65 years for rickshaws/loaders
  • Valid driving licence or learner’s permit (for bikes)
  • Rickshaw licence (for rickshaw applicants)
  • No bank loan default history
  • Must have or be willing to open a bank account

How to apply for PAVE Scheme 2025

  • Visit the portal: pave.gov.pk
  • Register: Enter your CNIC and mobile number
  • Fill out the application form
  • Upload required documents
  • Verification: National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and bank checks
  • Notification: Selected applicants will receive SMS/email
  • Instalment Setup: Visit the partner bank to finalise terms
  • Vehicle Delivery: Collect from an authorised centre

The PAVE Scheme 2025 is supported by leading banks across Pakistan, including National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Bank of Punjab (BOP), Meezan Bank, HBL, UBL, Allied Bank, First Women Bank, Bank Alfalah, Standard Chartered, ZTBL, and more.
